My house is clean, just not tidy. Of course, it's not hard to keep clean because of its size, which also contributes to the Red Bar decorating style because of limited wall space. :D

I am quite sure that in 50 years I'm not going to look back on my life and go "gee, I wish I'd spent more time putting away my projects & toys every day and less time having funn".

I can say with certainty my house is semi-presentable, except for my daughters overloaded bathrooms......I counted 11 shampoo bottles in my oldest's room o' ablutions. p.s. i've got a jet black dog walking over white tile. not good during the molting months

Dog hair has magical properties. Not only does it always find a surface or fabric of a contrasting color, it can travel without the use of a car or airplane!

On occassion I have found dog hair on my clothes from my parents' dog - who has never even been in this state or near those clothes! Although my mental picture of her trying on my ski boots is pretty funny - pretty sure that's how she got dog hair in them!

We gave up the fight long ago - between the light haired Golden Retrievers, Dark Chocolate labs, and combo German shorthairs, there was always contrasting hair for whatever you wore or selected as furniture.

Dog hair, junk mail, normally the kitchen is OK but not much else is. Housework took a nosedive after my back, then elbow, issues started - and I wasn't Suzy Homemaker before then. Only lately have I been able to resume vacuuming regularly. Oh, and under no condition should anyone look in the shower in the master bathroom.

Of course, football season starts tonight so there will be virtually no cleaning for three months! :D

You'd find an organized mess. Everything is piled up and out in the open, but it's all piled according to type: books, clothes, movies, etc.
You'd find in-progress art projects (far too many of them), stacks of half-read books, tonight's homework, and lots of music and movies.

In short, you'd probably not be surprised.

 :funn: Ya'll crack me up. Love it! :funn:

But, what about YOU? :dunno:

Here's what you would find about ME this year -2007. I would probably (99% of the time) be in silk PJ's. I have about 12 different pair....and my neighbors know them all! I would be......either in my rocking chair on the back porch, thumbing through every magazine I can get my hands on from fashion to food or my other rocking chair (Kalie drug into the kitchen for me....where my computer is). It seems I'm always doing tons of laundry or combing through my little Shih Tzu's thick long hair. Occasionally....more often now, you might find me in my Prayer Closet. I like to sleep on the couch, as it gives me back support....and Doug snores. I will answer the door with NO Make-UP, striped keds, hair in a mess or up on top of my head, a pair of reading glasses stuck somewhere in that mess of hair.....after I peek though the shades to see who it is.:ninja:

I'm not getting into my house condition!:nono1: :banned: :trainwreck:

My home is usually neat & tidy, but not always clean (I need to scrub bathrooms as I type this)
I love my home!

Every home you stay in is neat and tidy and yes clean AND organized! I'm working on keeping it that way.

Quick...go to PotteryBarn.com or ballarddesigns.com and order a good looking bulletin board! And you are correct...only dull women have immaculate houses! :D

Well I'm certainly not dull then :rotfl:

:rotfl:

I am neat & tidy but NOT immaculate...right now my bedroom is littered with clothes still not put away from my month stay in SoWal   ...who has time? I'd rather SoWal

Is that a little Cork that rubbed off on you? :funn: :funn: :funn:

OK, as most will attest, my house doesn't look half bad until you get past the 2nd floor, which is the farthest most people will get :rotfl: . After that, look out - clothes, papers, shoes and everything that gets picked up from the first 2 floors. :yikes:
