Temporary Internet files. Everytime you view anything on the Net the computer makes a copy of the URL (address) if you don't dump them(empty) it slows your performance.

I dump daily. Have great performance. :rotfl:

Since you asked what they are I am going to guess you have not done this. If you are on AOL,
go to Settings.
Internet Web Options
over to the Right, under Related Settings click on Internet Explorer Settings
Then find Temporary Internet Files
Click on delete Files and Delete all offline content

Thanks...I think. :D I followed your instructions and then it knocked AOL off. Minnie...do you have trouble viewing anything on YouTube? Mine starts and stops and is very annoying.

Yep YouTube requires a very fast connection speed. I have to get it going, minimize it and let it load, which is very slow and then view it.

It drives my daughter crazy when she comes home from college, but hey if I was not footing all of her bills I could have DSL.

The other thing with AOL, is you need to make sure you keep the most current version of it. They are constantly upgrading and that does help.

Also you can download another browser to use, such as FoxFire and it will help with certain things.

Does anyone know how to do this on a Mac (or if it has to be done on a Mac?)
