aggieb,
I have not only seen Metallica but travelled with them 4 days during their tour six years ago. Traveled on their bus and was on stage for 4 shows. Had to leave after fourth day. Could not take it anymore.

Miss Kitty, I'm sure we've both been to many of the same concerts during the same era!
:wave:Happy and I'm smiling, walk a mile to drink your water....I saw him in shytown too. Can't remember the theatre though. :D We might've been in the same theatre actually,Johnrudy. It was about 1978. Were you in Chicago at the time?

 Oh heck yes, you have a date! I've booked my brother's guest room!

Awesome! Let's do it!! We have a guest room too -- my hubby's office is actually an apartment over our detached garage with a full sized bed, its own bathroom and a mini kitchen. If it is at the St. Pete Times Forum I can get my mom to get us good seats, I'm pretty sure. She has hockey tickets and gets priority seating for many events. :D:D:D

Great idea Punzy, if anyone else wants to come down just PM me.

Bruce Springsteen - both times, Born in the USA tour and the Rising tour. I wanted to be Courtney Cox and dance on stage with Bruce, when BUSA tour was in Detroit. Almost 20 years later, the parents brought their kids to see the Rising. It was a great, on your feet for the whole concert kind of time!
Close seconds: Rolling Stones in 1989, Michael Jackson's Thriller tour - not exactly rock but still amazing, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Pink Floyd and Billy Joel.
Raw and Real: Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in Ann Arbor before he made it big.

I never saw Jethro Tull live but that was the best flute playing I ever heard. Aqualung was one of the best songs for a flute player who thought they were too cool to stay in the high school band.

Mr. Mouse is very jealous of y'all that saw Ozzy and Randy play live together.

My favorites from the 90s:

Pink Floyd at the Pontiac Silverdome
Peter Gabriel at the Palace of Auburn Hills

I saw Pink Floyd at the Pontiac Siverdome! But it was in
either 1988 or 1989, I can't remember which. One of my best dates ever! The captain of the U of M football team was my date and it was a blast!

That does sound fuNN, supermom. I was just a baby gull of like 13 or 14 when I saw Floyd. It was either 1973 or 74 and it was with a whole group of kids from the apt. 'hood. It was at a small place for Floyd, the Atlanta Civic Auditorium, which was shaped like a horseshoe with a balcony and the sound was absolutely flyin' around the room. It was as if you were in the clock and then the cash register too. :clap:It was definitely not the lights I remember, but the sound. :D Frampton's Camel was the back up band. Those were the days when you could walk around the whole concert if you wanted. Does any one remember when the concert goers would actually prevent security from bustin' people? Those were really the days. I guess people still could but it's just calmed down a lot. Really, these are the days, heh? I  that song.
