Jethro Tull...yes, I AM that old! :D
Heck, I saw The Beatles in concert! That was pretty awesome. Daddy bought 12 fifth row tickets for me and my friends (actually two of the tix were for Mom and Dad because we were too young to be there by ourselves). I wore a hot pink minidress to stand out -- I just knew that Paul would see me and ask me to marry him (ah, the foolishness of a kid -- uh, like that would have been illegal :rotfl:).

Cover your eyes, kiddo's.

The heck with the kiddos that is definitely nothing I wanted to see, SJ, I think you need to come with a warning, might be offensive to the viewing eyes of the sensitive. :rotfl:

He probably wishes he would have met you (a few years later) instead of Heather! :rotfl: Boy, what a biotch.

I love JT!! And if you're old, I'm ancient.

Man, I would have loved to have seen them! You know they are tops in my book. Well, right behind JB.

That's an easy one for me...Rolling Stones "Voodoo Lounge Tour" in Oakland Coliseum. What a show! Mick dancing all over a fantastic stage set for two and a half hours. Keith managing to remain conscious (well, almost) throughout. What a night it was. Made me feel 18 again.

I have to agree with DKA - Journey. But mine was 25 years ago. The only other ROCK concert I've seen in a venue was Bryan Adams (Pensacola, early 1992, the week before I found out I was expecting, worried Wes would be born deaf).

Have seen Beach Boys at Sandestin, Wet Willie (1970's) at the PC Civic Center, and J. Geils Band, and KC/Sunshine Band at Miracle Strip (may its memory rest in peace). Also - not rock, but Hank Jr. east of Freeport in 1982. Anyone else local remember that?

I tried to go to Elton in '96 in Tallahassee, but couldn't find anyone to go with me. I wish SoWal had been around then.

Despite all this, the BEST concert I've ever been to, and I was standing behind a support post in the top of the Leon Co Civic Center, behind the stage, was NOT a rock concert. It was Garth Brooks. And I don't even care for him anymore.

Shallows- I learned a long time ago, sometime its best to go alone. In fact I do it almost all the time. I can't be bothered trying to coordinate everyone's schedules and tastes. Besides, when you go solo, you are able to fill "holes" and get some of the best seats!

I was afraid he was going to say Oscar de la Hoya!

No kidding Minnie, those pics even turned MY stomach...

Where is SavvyTangerine and Lightworker during this whole conversation? They took me to go see....was it SevenDust? I actually enjoyed it. If that's who they were. SavvyT, who all did we see that night? There were three groups.

I've been in Sowal for 23 years....Anyone remember about 20 years ago when the Mama's and Papa's performed their final concert at Destin Pointe? It was the two original guys, Mackenzie Phillips and Dusty Springfield. Since then Dusty passed on, MacK went back into rehap and one of the guys died...But it was still an awesome show on the beach.

I know SJ, I know, still not Rock, but yet a good show.

Rapunz forgot front row at the Eagles in 2002. Wow, was that something else.

Yes, that was pretty unbelievable...we sat next to Don Henley's sister and Glenn Frey sang to me.

Bite me! I can't plan a concert that far in advance!!!!!

I need to look into my summer schedule.

Tosser. I know the schedule is not full that far out. Actually...now that I think about it...it probably is.

:rotfl::rotfl:Yall are funny!! Punzy you know I am always in like Flynn for road trips. My sister and I used to listed to the Cure all the time. them!!

Seriously?!

:wave: Me! Me! Saw the Cure sometime in the '80s, they were great! Most of my 80s bands concerts are a big mishmash of memories though ... Depeche Mode, Violent Femmes, Simple Minds, it all runs together. I was such a child of the 80s.

Did see Bowie once.

 Oh heck yes, you have a date! I've booked my brother's guest room!
