They were showing them on the news last night. Hilarious. The cold kind of does the same thing to me.

i saw that on the news last night. interesting that your article references Bill Baggs park. I haven't been there in years. One time we inflated a waterbed mattress and launched it from there. Not really the smartest idea. Stiltsville can be seen from there, pretty cool.

I hope they took the opportunity to round up some of them for relocation. I have heard they are really getting out of control down there.

I'm trying to think if there are many things that would freak me out more than walking under a tree and having an iguana land on my head. Heck, even landing on the ground near me...

I was reading an artical online about it last night too. Then I followed a link about them being a nuisance on Boco Grande island. They are taking over. They aren't native and the females lay 75 eggs a year. They're damaging the dunes by making their burrows there. They are just overall pests and people are trapping them or shooting them with pellet guns. And to think we Northereners pay good money to keep them in large aquariums in our homes. (Not us btw)

I think it's interesting that they recommend picking them up and eating them. It doesn't sound very sportsman-like, though...
