I like Chris Watson!

He is beautiful. I was thinking to myself that if he did not make it in this competition somebody ought to snap him up and put his face out there. Truly, he is gorgeous and he can sing.

Refresh my memory...did he sing the Uncle Kracker song?

I liked Christy Lee Cook from Oregon and the last girl Brooke White? Oh and there was a young guy with his whole family in the beginning that I liked but can't remember his name. He had hair kind of like Troy from HS Musical.

I really try to think like could they really really be a pop star? Many of them just aren't. I like the stories behind the auditions too.

Throw in Amazing Race for me and I'm the same. This first show was so funny and so touching, too. That poor obese girl with the wheelchair mother! I felt for her. But some of the others, well, I laughed as much as the judges. What a hoot some of them were.

Mango, I think you can start watching again. Simon is tons mellower than he's ever been. He really can be sweet.

Hey Mermy- were you glad that Nate and Jen were eliminated last night on TAR?
We were. They need counseling.:shock: Or maybe they need to hang out with TK and Rachel more.

Which reminds me--not too long after the writer's strike started, the St. Louis paper stopped even bothering to include a weekly TV guide in the Sunday paper. I wonder if this is an individual decision, or if the company who publishes the guides has ceased to publish? Anyone?

Loved it!! I liked Chris, Christi, Brooke and a couple of others who's names escape me at the moment. Oh,,that guy who sang in Italian. I TIVO'd and zipped through the commercials. Only way to go.

Was it Italian? I thought it might be Spanish. Anyway, he was great, but I was really impressed with the guy after him, the 17-year-old. Nice voice, instant teenybopper fan base. I liked the horsey cage match girl and the babysitter too.

DD, I tivo'd also. I cant stand commercials and then the ranting from the contestants who keep going and going and going.
I am over the crazies out there. superfreaks for sure. THe guy who sang to Paula. I woud be afraid, complete whako.

I didnt see the first 45 minutes but the really good looking guy with dreads/corn rows??? from the north east??? was pretty hot. what a jaw line....oh and he sang pretty good too.

I am sure there were others but he struck me....

Brooke and Kristi were good. The Spanish/Italian (not sure which!) singer - good! Chris - very nice looking! OL: yes, he sang "Follow me" by Uncle Krakker
