IBD, thanks for noticing that I liked the Hamburger Helper...isn't making me happy what it is all about, anyway?
Although thin ice is really close to your feet, I do agree that a cook is usually trying to please the person they are cooking for. With that said :leaving:
She will not do it. She once made hamburger helper to prove a point and it was freaking awesome (which pissed her off) and she once made one of your standard boneless skinless chicken breast meets Campbell's soup recipes (with a few custom touches) and it was out of sight. She refuses to feed my inner redneck.

Hey, there was nothing wrong with that Hamburger Helper. I just thought it was funny that I was so prejudiced against the stuff that I thought I could doctor it up and it would still kind of suck.

I have the cooking blahs too right now. Probably is the time of year and we need some fresh foods from the market (but that will be a few months from now). We LOVE ready made frozen meals from Trader Joes -- orange chicken, stuffed poblano (?) peppers, frozen pizza. Those are our favorite things but there are many choices. The frozen desserts are very good, too. Trader Joe's has reasonable prices.

Tonight I made Alli's cornbread salad again....to go along with one of our weekly staples...grilled cheese and tomato soup.
I boiled four hot dogs and opened a can of green beans tonight.
The only reason I boiled them is that our microwave is on the fritz.
