I am so ready for the final 12.
Me too. The only one I liked to night was Brooke. Amanda....oh my, she was BAD, really bad. The rest were just really boring to me. Until tomorrow.
Here is the scoop: For these theme nights, there are only 50 songs to choose from. Each contestant get to pick 3, ranked 1-3. If some of the favored/chosen ones, have the same ones on their list, chances are you will get a new one handed to you by the Producers. This is what happened to Garrett. Regardless, the Producers pick the song for them. So, when RPS say - bad song choice or wrong song choice, from what they have, they are limited and the producer probably chose it.
When I interviewed Gina Glocksen this summer, she made a comment about how she wanted to sing Living on a Prayer, but that "Jordin took it, she had first choice and you know." I didn't at the time, but now it makes sense.
My favorite Alex (who might go home tomorrow
) should have sung Rock Steady By Aretha - any funky song from the 70's she would have rocked. But Chicago? She did the best she could with that dentist office music. You can tell the girls who are the chosen ones - they all said they sang their favorite song.
But as a whole, none of the girls gave a jump up and down performance.

btw: Dean the hair guy was let go from the show, along with another key production person. The rumor is someone was giving spoiler information.

To my surprise, I thought Brooke ('You're So Vain') did the best job last night. I just hope she doesn't get lost in the suhffle with the other interchangable blondes.
Amanda really should have waited for another season of Rock Star. It would have been a better fit vocally for her.

This has to be really frustrating for the contestants - especially considering the judges are always criticizing them for song selection.
I was not aware that the song selection process went like that. Kinda crappy that they favor some contestants over others.
I really didn't enjoy the girls last night. I did like Carly's 'Crazy' though.
I can't really decide who will leave for the girls but I think the guy who looks like Orlando Bloom and the guy who looks like Val Kilmer will be leaving. hah.

I so agree with you!!!! Loved Brooke...she's my favorite girl. Amanda scared me last night...hated her hair!
Carly was great. You described the guys perfectly. I know exactly who you're talking about and you just might be right about them leaving.

Has anybody heard the gossip that Robbie wears a wig? You know, it's really no big deal & maybe there's a good reason but it does sort of look like a wig to me.
