All of mine have rusted or disappeared. So, before replacing, curious form all of the veteran beach sitters, what's your favorite, most comfortable, easy to carry, ergonomic, beach chair, and where can you buy it. Thanks.

Joking aside, I have been sitting my 200 pound rear end in this chair for about five years and I haven't killed it yet. They weigh next to nothing .

Holy crap--I spent less than 1/4 of that on a chair at Target 4 years ago, and it's still going strong!

I got ours at Sams and they were twenty bucks each I think.

I love this chair - I've had it for more than 15 years! Very light, nothing to rust, extensively Scooterbug tested on 2 continents and 15 countries via foot, canoe, kayak, raft, ferry, plane, train, and bus.

Those look cool! I've seen them but haven't gotten around to purchasing them.

With 3 kids, it's still towels for me! They'd fight over any chairs we'd have and I'd be the one carrying them OR the little man would spend 1/2 our day trying to carry it up the stairs.

My brother and our 2 cousins each got a chair - same color and w/ our names on each one (mine still has a very tattered label on one strap that Mom sewed on when I was 10 or so) so there was no squabbling - though it is fun to tip people over who are sitting in them. :D

They're for outdoor use/backpacking etc. so they're very light - we carried them by tying them around our waist just like a sweatshirt. ;-)

I gave up on beach chairs years ago.
What I do is take one of my flip flops sideways and dig a hole big enough for my butt.
All the sand dug out of the hole is used as a pillow.
I then lay my beach towel over the hole and sand pillow and "wha-lah"
instant beach chair!
The deeper the hole you dig the bigger the pillow it really works!
Don't forget to fill the hole back when you leave!

I've always liked the "clickety click" ones.

The kind that whack you on the back when you sit in them and then you'd have to lean waaay forward to get it to go back down.

Then they'd roll over and throw you in the sand. Man those were great.
