I love what she does & believe that she's a sincere & wonderful person. At times, the ones who make the most difference in the world get dogged out the most. She has been a role model for so many people and provided opportunities for many others. Human flaws or not, she's accomplished so much in her lifetime already.

However, I don't watch TV that much and never at a time to catch her show. I used to watch it regularly... before kids. :dunno: Never picked up her mag. The idea of a network doesn't really interest me personally but it's another avenue to help people.

I do think it would be hard to find someone who has touched as many lives in so many different ways- intellectually, spiritually, financially, personally- as Oprah has.

I don't watch her show very much, but I think it is hard to deny how hard she works and her sincerity. Her magazine is better than any other women's magazine out there because it is not focused on pleasing a man (like Cosmo) or getting old (like More) or being a total housebiatch (like Martha). She could have hung it up a long time ago- why work so hard? it's not like she needs the money!

:wave:Chasing those three nutheads. :lolabove: The baby is now a toddler/little boy in full-force in motion and being in the office only happens when he's asleep because he'll break everything in here.

My perfect beach
I'm also an Oprah fan, but the first episode of the "Big Give" left me feeling uneasy. Being judged on giving seems a bit distasteful to me. And the recipients seemed to be a means to an end, rather than the end itself, as it should be.

Regarding the tv network, if it's like her XM channel, it should be really good. She's lined up some experts in a variety of fields - from health & fitness to finance to relationships to decorating. I've heard some truly great stuff on Mehmet Oz's show, especially. And let's face it, poor Nate Berkus needs visuals for what he does. A radio decorating show just doesn't work. :dunno:
