The Easter Bunny always brings a few things in the basket besides candy for the kids. This yeat EB brought Enchanted and Kidz Bop 13 for my daughter (6), and for my son (9) EB brought 2 video games for his DS. Of course there is candy mixed in, but not too much. We colored eggs for Easter a few days ago, so there were eggs in the baskets as well.

Happy Easter everyone!!

my son got a new hard case protector thingy for his nano iPod, 1 gift card for clothes, gift card for Cinnabon, Starburst jelly beans, Whoopers malt robin's eggs and a new tooth brush. (seems only appropriate with the candy.)
That chicken butt thing sounds fuNN, BR.
Can't wait for daughter to see it when I give her the basket at lunch!:D BTW they're 40% off at Hallmark. I might buy another one for me for next year.

Our Easter baskets were mainly candy, but sometimes we would get a toy too. I still have a jumprope w/ little green frogs as handles (the legs broke off years ago) that was an easter basket gift. :D

When mine was little, she got eggs to hide and a small gift, as she did not care for candy.

As she got older the only candy she liked was Reece's so she got a few of them and a gift.

I think that is the fun thing of traditions, they are what "you" want them to be. Nothing more. :D

And our lab gets plastic eggs with treats in them, which we hide and she finds and puts back in her basket and goes in the house wanting me to hide them again. :)

new toothbrush is a great idea.

we do lots of chocolate (big chocolate bunny and little reeses cups and chocolate kisses). I forgot the jelly beans this year! dang!

we also do a book, a few small toys, and this year, 2 pair swim goggles - really needed! OH! and the chicken that poops bubble gum balls...

the most funn was dying easter eggs last night and making them into star wars characters. I've got the pix. will post soon.

Sounds like the perfect day. I had an Aunt and Uncle who continued to do the egg thing long after all the kids had flown the nest. Said it was one of their favorite memories. Can't wait to see the eggs and may the yolk be with you:D
