When my kids were small I always bought them a new beach pail then filled it with Easter goodies. I felt baskets were a waste, they get sticky from the candy and the easter grass gets stuck to the dogs.

Now that they're older I still make a big (candy bowl) basket for us to share. I bought myself 2 new pairs of wedgie sandals & a new handbag at Marshalls. I wore a pair today, very comfy! I got my son a new shirt. He fixed the screen porch replacing screens and trim, etc. Last month I ordered a small chest, old european style, cherry wood w/hand painting (?) on the doors, black marble top and 4 feet!!! (It sounds extravagant but its actually quietly painted) The huge TV he'd gotten us for Christmas looked so terribly modern in my antiquey style living room. We'd set it up on the old fake 'oak' wood TV cabinet, what an eyesore. (A bargan from target when I didn't have much $$ to get anything better). Anyway he set it all up and it looks marvelous!!! I'm so thrilled that it blends in beautifully and doesn't overstate anything else. Honestly I should go to design school because if I do say so myself, I chose the exact piece for my LR.

I treated him to dinner out rather than cook and have all the leftovers hanging around. Afterwards I took my dog to the beach to run around. It was chilly so we didn't stay long. Yesterday I took her to the dog park, it was beautiful warm spring day.

We had a nice peaceful Easter. What lovely weather we were blesed with!

I'm with you on this one. I love it when I find not only the perfect piece, but at the right price.

Cute furbaby by the way.

when my son was little he couldn't stand the thought of a big bunny coming into his room at night. He never actually said he was scared but he said it would be creepy. So we always had to leave his basket on the kitchen table for the EB to come and fill. And after I gave it some thought, I could see where it would seem creepy. At least Santa is human and not so threatening to be walking around in the living room.

the easter bunny is scary as hail! we saw the giant easter bunny with the giant eyes yesterday at the park. I was not going to even mention him to spidey because I didn't want him to see such a ridiculous thing as that or get scared. but they did meet one another and all was well. I guess kids take things better than adults sometimes.

over a great star wars easter!

can you tell these are easter eggs? and all cracked from all the playing and handling and dropping. my house smells like an old boiled egg. we're not gonna eat 'em, in case you were wondering.

I just love the Star Wars theme. It was one of the first movies I really remember going to the theater to watch. Good memory. It was just a blast to see them. It thrills me to know another generation finds it cool.

You'll have the memories long after the egg smell is gone:D

Tell spidey the Easter bunny is not as scary as the company he keep:D
