Barry Gibb was most of the way finished remodeling the house last spring when it burned to the ground one afternoon. Apparently a cigarette lit some chemicals. Now its just the foundation with a spare house on the other side of the property. I beleive its the house Johnny built for his parents. Its a 3000 sq' one story house with a price tag of $895k.

And yes, the picture is on my friends boat that we enjoy every Saturday of the warm season on Old Hickory Lake! :)

Whitey--what a trio! I am *so* jealous but so very happy for you.
I hardly ever go out anymore and never see anybody.
But in another life, I chatted with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull (very self-deprecating wit) and helped Leslie West of Mountain (Mississippi Queen) after he barfed backstage (he was apologetic and thought maybe it had been the Denver altitude.)

I had my pic taken with Tony Dow about 100 years ago - when Six Gun Territory was somewhere in the state of Florida. I was on vacation with my parents, I was probably about 9 or 10, we had gone to Silver Springs - there was no Disneyworld - anyone remember Six Gun Territory? I have no idea where it was other than Florida. And the young ones out there are asking - who is Tony Dow? Wally from Leave it to Beaver!

When I lived in Birmingham, another 100 years ago, I had my pic taken with Don Meridith - my friend and I were grinning like total idiots - but OMG - it was Don Meridith!!! Also, Vic Damone said "hello" to me - My friend & I used to work the Otey Chrisman (sp) Classic that was held at some golf course in Hoover, AL. We were the "bag taggers" so we got to see everyone coming up to our spot and dropping off their golf bags. I remember Bob Hope had something to do with this but I don't remember seeing him. I wish I could remember some of the other people that used to play in that tournament. Also, Otey Chrisman was a blind golfer - for real! Any one else remember the OT Classic? Seriously, it was over 30 years ago but how could this be when I am only 25?

I just love Google -

A history of Six Gun Territory, a western theme park that was just west of Silver Springs, on Highway 40, near Ocala, Florida, is now in development. Meanwhile, visit Virtual Six Gun Territory for a look at how things used to be.

Daddy took us to Six Gun Territory when I was little. The little kid from Flipper was there in the gunfight. I kept wondering where Flipper was.

Tony Dow? That's huge. When we first got cable around 1980-81 I watched Leave it to Beaver everyday. Tony Dow was hot.:D

But, you should have seen ME in that pic - :yikes: I had "vacation" hair - you know where you go swimming and don't do a thing with it and it dries in 3000 different directions?!?!?!?! It was horrible!!! And this was BB - before braces and the teeth were NOT attractive at that time in my life. Tony looked less than pleased to be standing next to that dorky kid!!!:funn:
