do ya'll have a cut off time for eating in the evening? Like nothing but water after ....

I've been trying not to eat anything after dinner. (around 6pm) BUT if I do it's a low cal drink or celery. I also started chewing sugarless gum when I got a craving for sweets but in one of the diets I was reading about today it was one of the things that should be eliminated. Not sure why:dunno:

I need to get to the store tonight. Dylan is out of lunch stuff and I'm going to pick up more fruits and veggies, nuts and chocolate chips. I also need cereal...think I'll go with bran, bran and more bran.:D

I bought a box of Special K Bliss raspberry bars today, and I think I could probably eat the entire box. 90 calories and 2g fat each is not too bad--each being the operative word.

They are good. My kids love 'em too. Go to Target.... they have them for around $2.00 a box compared to $3.50 at our Kroger. Target has the best prices for the protein meal bars too.

I was going to buy the SpecialK in the blue box today but decided to try the Kashi GoLean almond honey clusters. Both had a lot of protein but the Kashi had just a little more fiber.

Today I had some almonds and a few choc chips for my snack.

Dinner was

lean steak, yummy green peas drizzled w/olive oil and seasoning and a few fresh strawberries.

I need to drink more water.....

The Kashi cereals are good, but they do have more sugar, which I am trying to avoid. I like the GoLean Crunch, but it has 37 g carbs and 190 cal vs. Blue Box k with 14 g carbs and 100 cal. Fiber is about the same.

Another trick- 1 apple a day. I eat one in the morning on the way to school. It becomes a habit to walk out the door with an apple. My other new fruit trick is to have bowls of cut up melon, pineapple, and berries, then throw a few spoonfuls of each in a go cup and take that in the car.

I am trying

So here is what I have been doing that last couple of weeks. First, I park way out in our parking lot, and I am taking the 3 flights of stairs up to my office. I walk up and down the stairs several times a day. I have been eating Quaker Oats Low Sugar Oatmeal in the morning and drinking water with the Special K Protein Water Mix, the Pink Lemonaide flavor. It is really good. It has 30 calories, 0g fat, 6g Carbs, 0g Sugar, 5g Protein, 5g Fiber. If you don't like plain water, just mix this in with a 20oz. bottle. Eating light for lunch and supper. Going to start working out my BowFlex tonight. The beach is looming ever closer and I must do something real quick!!!

Awesome job Darlene!!! I have the pink lemonade protein water too. It is good! Just don't drink it too fast. One day I wasn't thinking and I had it in the fridge already mixed up and I grabbed it and drank it too quickly and it sat in my stomach like a rock for the next hour or so. That was dumb. Other than getting back into some of my clothes my big motivation is the pool. It opens Memorial weekend and I'd love to feel normal again in my swimsuit.

Today I'm adding in good fats to see if that will make a difference. I noticed the Kashi cereal had 500mg of Omega-3 and I just had a few almonds.

I'm feeling about the same today so it probably is the pollen in the air. I'll make sure I get to my work out today.
