If you like watching tv shows on Netflix, one series I can recommend is The Monarch of the Glen a BBC production shot in Scotland. It is addictive!

But I wish I'd skipped the second to last season. IMHO it was disappointing--I did skip the last season.

(Somewhat) hidden gems I've enjoyed:
Kinky Boots
Sweet romance and clever enterprise--and it was a true story.
North and South
Smoldering romance and tragic circumstances during the Industrial Age in England.
Fingersmith
I did not see the twist coming!
The Black Book
Thriller WWII movie: Dutch singer infilrates the Nazis--but all is not as it seems.

Yeah, just a little violent. Not crazy about the ending either but I after thinking about it I get it. I didn't at first. Honor.

I have thought about it and still don't get it. Maybe there's a web site that explains it:dunno:

Firefly, the series > Serenity the movie. good times.
You can also watch the entire series of Firefly for free on Hulu.com

It's not a DVD and it will have a few commercials, but it will save some space in your queue

Remember when Chigurh told Moss that he would kill Carly Jean if he didn't bring him the money and drop it at his feet? Well he didn't give him the money(killed by the mexicans first) so at the end, even tho Moss was dead, he had to keep his word by going and killing Carly Jean. Woody Harelson's character had told Moss that Chigurh had a peculiar sense of HONOR.The point of the movie is that the sheriff is so weary and has never seen so much evil and does not know if it is possible to conquer it. Chigur represents all the evil in the world that will not go away.

I didn't get it either. You could look on www.rottentomatoes.com to read reviews on the movie (or any other movie). Sometimes reading different viewpoints sheds light on why certain movies garner the accolades--or boos--they do.

I understood that part. What I didn't understand at all was the sheriff's discussion about his dreams at the end. However, this did prompt me to google it and found out what a lot of other "experts" now say it meant.
