all the styrofoam/plastic wrapped Publix hamburger meat is sent in processed except for the hand made stuff made in the store called "market beef". The hamburger they sell that's not labeled "market beef" could be from multiple bovine donors, and since I'm having tacos tonight, I don't want to go there.

So you're talking about ground beef, not just pre-shaped hamburgers, right? Thanks for the tip.

yes, i'm talking about the ground beef....if it's labeled "market beef", it was made in the store....sometimes they'll form into patties...usually it's in the normal package.....just look for it, and ask the butcher to make for you while you shop.

Publix raises their beef humanely.....just before the joyous ride to the "processing facility of happiness".......Publix processing spokesperson [identity withheld for PETA security reasons].

Ew!! I so prefer the smell of a burger on the BBQ than the taste. If on rare occasions I have a bite, its Nature's Promise-Stop & Shop's organic line of foods. They've got everything organic, the ketchup is delish!! Affordable & yummy too. Do you have Stop & Shop in Fl.?

FYI everyone....if you buy hamburger at Publix, the hamburger made by the butcher, on site is labeled "market beef". Please check the label, as this is what the butchers take home to their families. If there is no extra fresh meat to grind, market beef is not always available, so you have to ask for it. Privately and off the record, one of the butchers at my local Publix told me that he would not eat the hamburger made at the processing facility that is shipped to the store. Very few customers know this, so test me on this one and ask the butcher at the store.

what type of beef is it? I mean the fat content 7% 10% 15%?

No meat for me. People, we have to start eating what's farm raised within 100 miles, all the energy & resourses wasted to deliever it to publix, especially when the produce is out of season, is what's killing us. Eat local, in-season produce. Start a garden. Food shortages are REALLY happening, I realize down here in this land of luxury, it's easy to forget, but WAKE UP!:yikes:it's all happening

We have to learn to take care of our community & not rely on publix & evil corporations like Walmart to feed our families.
Okay, that's my rant...
have a blessed and beautiful day everyone!
