Memorial Day is here and summmer is not far behind!

Everything I make is probably right out of the Paula Dean cookbook.

I haven't made these but want to try them this weekend.

Oprah found a new favorite food when she tried this turkey burger at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach. "I believe [it] may be the best turkey burger in the entire world," she says. The Mar-a-Lago Turkey Burger will be permanently available at the Trump Bar and Grille in Trump Tower in New York City, open to the public for lunch and dinner. It will also be served during lunch in Chicago at Sixteen, the Trump International Hotel restaurant.

1/4 cup scallions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
1/8 cup canola oil
4 pounds ground turkey breast
2 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. black pepper
2 tsp. chipotle Tabasco?
1 lemon, juice and grated zest
1/2 bunch parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup Major Grey's Chutney, pureed

Saut? the scallions, celery and apples in the canola oil until tender. Let cool.

Place the ground turkey in a large mixing bowl. Add saut?ed items and the remaining ingredients. Shape into eight 8-ounce burgers. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Season the turkey burgers with salt and pepper. Place on a preheated, lightly oiled grill. Grill each side for 7 minutes until meat is thoroughly cooked. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Me too:clap:. I'm headed to the store to get ingredients for The Lady's Warm Potato Salad (except I serve it cold). No healthy stuff for me--I'm on vacation.

Check out the healthy living section on allrecipes.com. You can also find healthy recipes on myrecipes.com. I have had good luck there when choosing recipes rated 5 stars or those listed in their Top 20 section. Have funn this weekend.

OL,
Let us know if you make those burgers from Oprah's show. I saw a little of that show and I thought that recipe looked too time consuming. But I realize that more work needs to go into it if you want to eat healthy.

I'm very leary that my 2 guys wouldn't eat something like that. They like turkey burgers fine but it's all the other ingredients.

I still need to find the chutney. I will venture out either tonight or tomorrow after church. BUT I am going to make them tomorrow night.

I'll let you know...they are ready for the grill. They did take a while to prepare. The most time consuming thing was dicing the apples really small. I found the chutney and made everything tonight so tomorrow won't be so hectic.
