Well, South Walton certainly needs some representation. Our numbers would dictate that we should have two commissioners. District 1 and District 5 should both carry the load for South Walton. Hopefully, we'll have a full slate for both District 1 and District 5. Cindy has carried most of the load recently. It sure would be great to have the District 1 seat on board for South Walton again.

I don't think I own property in 5. Besides, the only place for me in governement is the tax code.

I think we need a commish for Sandestin/Miramar, and 2 for 30A. Or maybe South Walton County should be South Walton COUNTY.

It is a completely different world when you compare to NoWal!
With the number of residents now in the area, I imagine the district is going to drastically shrink in 2011. Sowal will probably be two districts to themselves after redistricting.

Even as a non-resident, I like that idea. Truth is, the northern two-thirds and southern third of Walton County are two different worlds with different needs. Same goes for Okaloosa.
