In all seriousness, lets take the bull by the horns and get behind someone. I would love to have Kurt or SJ or any of the knowledgeable posters on this sight run for office. We are blessed to have so many great people on this board who would be absolutely fabulous as a county commissioner. And the support system for that candidate would be plentiful. I know that I would volunteer to help the candidate run and when elected, help the commish doing legwork. Please please please....lets get a meeting and form a committee. I nominate Punzy to take charge !!!! (She has political experience). Punzy, I volunteer to assist you. LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN !!!!!!!

For a write in to count, they still must qualify during the week in June. Just does not cost them anything.

Even as a non-resident, I like that idea. Truth is, the northern two-thirds and southern third of Walton County are two different worlds with different needs. Same goes for Okaloosa.

You can say that again. More of an education and socio-economic situation I think. Strange to me that the schools in the extreme south end of the county and the extreme north end seem to score so well, while the two in the middle are struggling.
