What did it ever do to you?

Used the koi pond as a buffet... perfectly good wetland fish across the street, but harder to catch.

Koi pond is in front of the house with kids & pets playing around it.... not good to keep poisonous snakes there. We tried re-locating these snakes in the past but they always come back. The easy meal is too hard to pass up, or maybe koi taste really good.:dunno:

Wha-wha-what? Snakes at the koi pond? Jeez, I've never seen one at ours. In the wintertime it's the raccoons who feast on the koi. We frequently find scales on the patio as evidence.

Maybe we've seen no snakes at the pond because we live by a large lake in Georgia, and the copperheads, etc., must tend to head for the lake. One day I was pulling out of the garage and saw a copperhead. I ran over the darned thing twenty times. (As an aside, our neighbor happened to be outside and saw this going on -- she must have thought I was flippin' crazy. OOPS! She already knew that, though ). I assumed the snake was dead. Well, when I got home within the hour, IT WAS GONE. :yikes: We found it at the end of the driveway (about 100 yards away). It managed to get that far, then was subsequently stripped to the bone by ants.
