When we got up this AM, hubby looked out onto the patio, and there was a huge hawk perched on the umbrella, staring at the koi pond. :yikes:We've never seen a hawk out there before (deer, yes). Thankfully, we just bought a bunch of pond plants, so the fish could hide.

The koi are so cute. When they see us coming with their food container, they swim towards us.

Ever since the snake story, I never go to the pond without checking it out for snakes. Thanks, GRS.

You should kill that hawk before it eats your fish. The deer are suspicious too. Might as well waste them also just to be safe.

Heck, no. I brake for squirrels!

I'll admit the deer are a real nuisance. They love to eat our shrubbery, not to mention that driving down our street at certain times of the year is like playing Russian roulette with the deer as the weapons. We just have to drive slowly and continuously be on the lookout for them darting across the street.

A squirrel is not worth getting rear ended.

I think that is what we call a Wolf Spider or a Wood Spider. They make good pets. It's like the one that came to visit us in the livng room every evening to watch TV with us. He became part of the family.

I'm glad you liked him so much! He scared the be-JAY-sus outta me one night when I was headed for the kitchen...:yikes:
