Seagrove medical (850) 231-6200 has something a little different; George Roll..a "Health Care" provider in the truest sense. I noticed several years ago that The Doc was different...No streaming 'health' widescreen, no aquarium...only walls full of Thank You's from everywhere in the country, that I know the lovely and wonderful Sherry posted.
Whether your child is running a fever, gets hit by the jelly fish, or If you are needing the best of care far from home Doc Roll will get you back on track.

I once said , long before he was one of the first-in voulenteers at Katrina...(where he promptly dehydrated himself after 72 non stop hours) & continued while strapped to an I.V. that if I were in the weeds & got hit, he's your man.

I am of the oppinion that success is not to do with having a great name, office or consuming an enormous amount of goods...there is a purely Moral & cognitive level of conceptual excellence. George Roll is one of those unique individuals that does not base his compassion or requirements for freindship and an innexaustive capacity to care on an intangible plane of the type I mentioned. Stop by Seagrove Medical(where the locals know), if not for the best of care during your visit; to see the best of the best...Doc George & Sherry.

be careful

I have no doubt that Mr. Roll is an excellent PA, but it is illegal if he or any of his staff refer to him as a doctor. I also would be concerned that there is no apparent physician supervision. There is a limit to what PA'a and nurse practitioners can do and they need a trained MD to be there when they don't know how to proceed.

I thought the law was a PA or NP can see patients as long as the file is signed off of in 24hrs. The supervision can be by phone? I am curious. Also, does his staff refer to him as Dr?

the law

Actually a physician has 30 days to sign off on charts. The law on supervision is gray. A supervising physician is meant to be just that. It does allow for phone supervision so that if a PA's physician is out of town they can still see patients. Unfortunately, this allows PA-run practices to exist by having a retired MD or an unscrupulous MD anywhere in the state to take a "cut" of the revenues and sign off on everything having never even provided an ounce of supervision. I am not saying that is what is going on here, but why is there never a doctor at that office. The laws for nurse practitioners are even scarier. They don't even have to have a supervising physician if they are in primary care. IMO, PA's are trained much better than NP's now because they fall under the College of Medicine in most schools. That means they learn how to practice medicine from doctors. Most NP programs are run totally by nurses and their cookbook approach does not always work.
