We just got back from a wonderful trip to Seagrove, our entire family enjoyed the beaches, the dining and the shopping for ten great days. BUT, on approximately day eight, I developed this awful deal with the tops of my feet, huge blisters and big time pain, all of which I blamed on too much time playing in the sand and chasing crabs with my grandchildren but nothing like this has ever happened before? Back home and and baffled, I am still hobbling around. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Really, I normally am a healthy old thing, not overweight or high blood presssure, sugar or anything. Am I on the wrong thread? Plus some idiot stole our wagon with beach toys off the front porch. My grandson and I found it on the beach at tea time? We have left that wagon on our porch for years when the kids are here.

my father-in-law had a group of renters that got all bit up by something while playing at the beach last week. they thought it was something in the water.

not sure if it's related to your foot issue though.

Wow, very perplexing. And it's not sunburn, correct? I can't imagine what would cause the blistering and pain on the tops of your feet. Please let us know what you find out.

Maybe Dr. Skunky can shed some light on this.

As for the toys that is crappy, but you did get them back so it sounds like some unsupervised kids. :bang:

When I am at Grayton and really get to go to the beach a few times, the tops of my feel always start itching with bumps. I assume there is something in the sand, maybe sand mites or something mysterious. I usually have to use benadryl cream or some other ointment for a few days to stop the itching. :dunno:

After reading a post a week or so ago about thousands of what was thought to be baby jellies I think it could be from those or pieces of jelly fish that were broken up in rough water and cant really be identified as such due to the small size.

Could be hives...yes, hives...giant urticaria you may have had a reaction to something. I have had it happen to me before. My feet got red and swelled up. Got blisters on the tops of my feet when I reached the point of not being able to swell any more...

Just throwing it out there...

After extended contact w/ Nature I always wash w/ Dial antibacterial soap - helps get rid of any lingering oils etc. from plants/bugs/stuff I have come in contact with.
