I'm just curious since I'm tired of debating nameless, faceless, and/or identity free people; how many people on here run to an alternate screen name or are lurkers who don't have the gumption (sp?) to come out of the closet?

I think my identity is fairly obvious and not hidden. Most of the other posters on the polictics forum are either known to me or it seems obvious of who they are. However some are brand new registrants who suddenly have a strong opinion or post once or twice. Some even associate their screennames with local businesses and I feel this is wrong as they should probably just reveal themselves.

In other words I throw my stones openly and some others should either reveal the location of their launch or take off the mask.

To clarify, the United States constitution does give the right to express yourself in any manner you see fit about any subject, technology has given us the ability to do so anonymously. However this falls in line with bathroom graffiti to remain anonymous. If you are posting under the name of your business or an alternate identity to sheild yourself or your business ranks right up there with terrorists.

I have no beef with you, lord knows if it weren't for this "alternative" lifestyle we would have 18 children playing in lake Lanier right now.:wave:

Why would I need to identify myself if I didn't plan on attending the annual happy holidays party?

It's really only fair that you out yourself....so to speak.

I think he's not so much talking about using a screen name as opposed to a real name, but to people who post inflammatory things under a different screen name. For example, if I felt like really going after someone, I wouldn't post as NoHall, but I would re-register under some other name.
