I no longer stay in Dune Allen
Not sure if you were addressing me but since I fit the category, I just want to apologize for not introducing myself and barging into your community. I don't live in SoWal. I live in Louisiana. My wife's family has owned a place in Sandestin since the mid-nineties, and we have spent about a month a year there over the years. I recently decided to buy my own place in WaterSound Beach. If anyone cares to know my real name and any more details, you can PM me. I don't really want my name all over the internet. Hope you can understand.

I started reading this forum just for real estate info, but soon found that you guys discuss some interesting topics. I guess I didn't realize just how small the community is and that my presence might give offense. Sorry again.
There are no small communities, only small minds. :welcome:

Interesting thread SWGB. Being anonymous is necessary for some ......and some don't give a sheet. I fall in that second category.:D Whether I'm in the lounge or politics...you'll pretty much get the same me.

I'm with you all the way sunny!

I tried an alias/alternate identify once. it is much harder than you think to try to "be" someone else. not to mention a PAIN to log out and back on and keep up with who you are suppose to be at any given time. I guess you need to be a good actor. I am not.

most of us are not annonymous here. we know each other. but I do respect the privacy of those who want to remain just a screen name/tar. but I do wish everyone would at least put in their profile where they live (city/state). it gives at least a little bit of info to relate when interacting online.

I think I understand the meaning of the first post, but I'm confused how registering as your own business name, is hiding one's identity? Isn't that just the opposite?

No one knows my true identity....:ninja::D

SWGB, I understand where you are going and I agree. If people had to be responsible for what they post, some threads wouldn't be so wackadoo. Anonymity brings out the worst in some or those who have an agenda.
