I thought I would post this for all of you who like to travel, but just can't get away. My brother and Sis in law are on an adventure.
He quit his job after almost 30 years, and took off. He has worked very hard and he so deserves this. He is keeping a blog and I have to say, I never knew he could write so well.
Karen (sis in law), and Mike have taken some wonderful pictures and videos. They also have their traveling campanion with them. Forrest the Wonder Dog. We call him that because when my brother was building his house (the one that burned, for those of you who know the story), Forrest came strolling up one day. He had been shot in his right shoulder and was in bad shape. He was just a little puppy. Mike took him straight to the vet, they told him that he would probably loose his leg. Well, as you can see in the pictures he is just fine. No leg lost, and he is such a neat dog.
My daddy is keeping up with the miles they have gone. Since May they have been to 10 states, and driven over 5000 miles. They are headed down the Pacific Coast now and will be in California next week sometime.
There are some wonderful pictures of the beaches they have been to. Some great video as well.
Anyway, the blog is long, but well worth the read if you like to hear about different places. I will warn you though, sometimes he gets a little "colorful" with his choice of words.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Here is the link:

p.s. if you look down to the left of the blog you will dates. You can start at the beginning, or just pick up with them now.
