Speaking of that, did you ever reveal your source for the supposed 48% tax rate that you tossed out on that other thread?

No. I was told that by someone trying to explain the difference in economic plans. I have been looking and all I find on plans is such varying that there is no way it can be correct. That is why I asked for help, but so far none has forthcoming.

As an example I was sent one email saying my taxes would go up $8400 if I did not vote for McCain. Personally, I just do not believe that.

But I just saw a guy on fox news argue that lower middle class do pay taxes directly, and that is the first time I have ever seen anyone say that.

The more I try to find out about this economic thing, the more confused I get. I will start forwarding you the emails I get and maybe you can straighten me ou.

Well, Robert, where are these emails coming from? Nigeria?

Funny someone actually thinks Social Security will be there for them. Good Luck. I believe the Republican's proposal would've let Me invest my money as I see fit for my retirement. I know I can do better with 15 percent of my money than Congress can. Wake Up People. They can keep all I've paid in if I could opt out. Does anyone see they just devalued all your money to bail out Private Corps. Vote themselves a raise with your money anytime they want. They waste it, spend it, steal it print up more to lessen the value and people want to Vote someone in who will add to the SOCIALIZATION of this Country by increasing EVERYBODY'S taxes. At least for those they pay taxes under the guise of giving it to those that pay nothing and contribute even less.

If you believe a headline ripped-off of Drudge, it is too bad Social Security moolah wasn't in the market:

DOW UP 40 POINTS IN PAST MONTH... UP 18% PAST 5 YEARS... UP 44% PAST 10 YEARS...

The vast majority of that 44 percent happened between Sept. 19, 1998 (7895.66) and July 1999 (Dow 11,200). Since then ... pffffft.

True! But how would we still be funding the current retirees? (My parents.)
