I know he and palin like to repeat this over and over, but that does not make it so. not by a long shot. how is he putting anyone first besides himself?

I believe Obama will be the one to choose people from all sides to make the best choices. This is what the change thing is about. If he does not do this, or is not able to do this because of hte current systems, then I give up and will never trust another politician again. He's the first I've ever seen that understands the necessity of this kind of thinking and leading. if he can't do it, then we're all screwed.

one thing I know for sure, McCain does not have the temperament or the head for true leadership. no way. no how.

The people of the great state of Arizona have been showing their confidence in his tempermant and leadership skills for over 25 years. Half the democratic party didn't give Obama that level of support in the primary. ;-)

Poor Joe. The press apparently blames him for Obama cutting loose with his spread the wealth around comment. Just a matter of time before Maureen Dowd verbally skewers him and points out that - ta ta - he did not graduate from an East Coast school and that he has that troubling midwestern accent. Dowd is well into her fifties and her recent life must have been punctuated with those beguiling moments when she questions her worth, her reason for being and then - with kind apologies to The Association - along comes Joe, or Sam or whatever his name is. The only inveiglement remaining for Dowd is to win a Nobel like her economics counterpart but that does not seem likely because as she laments, they don't seem to give that prize to Americans anymore. So, standing in front of the fireplace in full battle array, Dowd must have had those quiet insecure moments when she plundered her own depths searching for her next victim and Joe, or Sam, appeared. Careful Joe, she is viscerally mean but you're okay for now. She apparently is fond of moose and will never forgive Sarah for shooting a few. But Joe, when the election is over, put a dead bolt on your door and have a pro tint the windows of your SUV so dark nobody can peer inside. Her name is Dowd and she will not like you Joe.
