What hospital was Obama born in? Birth Certificate [merged]

Not everyone was born in a hospital. I'm sure my son doesn't know now, nor will he remember when he is 40 that he was born in a birth center. He might remember being born in North Carolina. I also doubt that it will dawn on him to think to check the records of a town 80 miles from where we lived. A town that he has not been in since he was six hours old, I might add.
Why do I know what hospital I was born in? Because when I was about 8 I found this cool metal lock box and loved to look at all of the papers in it, especially the ones with big gold stickers and footprints on the back. Official copies don't have the hospital name and picture embossed on the top (do they even have the hospital name on them?)

He said he was born in a hospital. Not that he didn't know.

are gop folks getting that desperate? I am so sick and tired of this kind of tactic by american people who I know are so much better than this. how could this could even become a valid question? do people think that just anyone can sign up and run for the Senate or President? Are they that stupid? There is a story circulating on the Internet that John Mccain actually never served in Vietnam. WOW! So I started digging and even though there were "official" discharge papers and so called government documents-

I think we really need to hold off before we can safely assume that John McCain really is this great American who served his country. POW? Well, maybe not, folks!!!
After all, why would these stories doubting who he is actually be posted on the Internet and talked about if there wasn't some sort of truth to them...

how about let's be proactive and not respond to threads based on lies, bigotry and fear. I usually wouldn't look at a thread like this but I trust supermom - she's always fair and honest. I should have moved right along and left it to those who enjoy this kind of thing.
