I am so excited to have a bumper second crop of tomatoes...I had six pots of tomatoes and over the summer got great tomatoes...then, I thought they were done and I was about to pull up the vines...when I noticed more blossoms, so I left them.

Three of the plants produced way beyond my anticipation, but the other night when it was supposed to get so cold, I decided to pick them--and if nothing else enjoy fried green tomatoes, because I was not sure they would ripen...

Well, I have tons of ripening tomatoes, and they taste so good!

My son also got a second crop of his grapes...I am so surprised at both!

I need your secret for growing tasty tomatoes here- I had lots of tomatoes, but they weren't that great.:sosad: I haven't had a tomato I can really weep over since moving here.

I have a 4' tall tomato plant w/ actual blossoms!

If I get an actual green tomato, it will be a gardening miracle! Last year I tried 5 times to grow tomatoes - this would be this year's 2nd try!

See if Publix can order in some FlavorSweet grape tomatoes; they come in a red net bag and taste, Forgive Me, but they taste like summer tomatoes and that is almost sacrilege at my house to even mention such a thing. We live for Ripley (TN) tomatoes to become marketable each year, about 7/1, then we hog them until October 15th, when they disappear. I usually bring a basket with me to the coast each time we come and that's about 4-5 times during tomato season. Another YUM!
