I don't mind these guys at all. It's the ones that take a banner and wave it back and forth to get your attention. That's why a semi ran into me last January in front of Jersey Mikes. The car in front of me threw on their breaks trying to read it and I slowed down as soon as I saw they were going to make a quick turn into the shopping center (no turn signal):cuss:...the man driving the semi was looking at the waving sign too and did not notice I slowed down thus ramming straight into me. A trip to ER, $2000.00 in damages to the back of my Jeep and three weeks on my back. :bicycle:

The tire on the back of the Jeep cushioned the blow or it would have been much worse. I felt bad for the man driving the semi. It was his first week on a new job. :bang:

Be careful out there....it's a jungle!

Sowal
Personally, I would not upset myself with this. I understand that living in Sowal is wonderful, but despite that fact, it is still part of the real world. Anyone who is from a city will vouch for the fact that you see these things everyday (I am bracing myself for the "well we don't live in the city"). At least they are collecting a paycheck. Also, the advertising obviously works, we are talking about it here. I'm sure the same people complaining are probably guilty of sticking one or two real estate signs in yards. You don't ever hear anyone complain about that. Man there is so much more to life than getting worked up over such petty things. Please excuse me if I can across rude. I hope all of you are having a wonderfuly day!!!

Agreed.

The "human billboards" have been in Newnan and Peachtree City for a couple of years. Right, Steele Mama? In the area where she and I ran into each other on Sunday, there were quite a few of them. Usually they hide their faces behind the signs as if to indicate embarrassment, but on Sunday they were showing their faces and waving.

At least they aren't waiving bibles. Head over to PC at Hwy 79 and 23rd St. for that fun little spectacle.

On a Saturday in Houston, there's a guy sitting on a pallet at every stoplight on the feeder roads in all 4 directions selling the Sunday Houston Chronicle. The rest of the week, they live under the overpass. :sosad:
