The belugas at the GA Aquarium do something similar. They don't do the ring, but they do blow bubbles to play with. They blow blow them low, follow them up, and then bite them before they hit the surface...

I wonder if this has been captured on film by someone diving or doing research in the open water with wild dolphin?

I wonder if they do this at the Chattannoga Aquarium....hmmm does it have salt water or is it just fresh water. I can't remember

I love their playfulness and they are just so darn cute!
