hmmm, i am strangely intrigued by this....

Don't wait until a Saturday. I am told that code enforcement sells the fire permits now.

And I'm fairly sure I'll be there. I think I have a date.

They do. They get the fee and make a copy of the permit and put it in a file so no way to see if you have one other than you show your copy. The ordinance says they are suppose to give you a fire safety ring, which they do not, and I thought I read the beach activities coordinator is suppose to sign the permit, but that job has been abolished. The new and improved website still directs to the Sheriff's office for a permit.
