Any Formula 1 fans out there?

We're Formula 1 fans, and are wondering if there are any others out there to get together and watch the races.

HUge F1 fan, although I am in Tn. The week we come down in September is the one morning I stay in and watch the race on Speed instead of going to the beach for my early morning time.

I am not a racecar fan but isn't Formula 1 the racing they have at Barber motorsports raceway, just outside Birmingham? I think it is in Leeds just outside Bham.

Formula 1 (otherwise known as "F1") isn't part of Nascar...it's a type of open-wheel racing, with the fastest speeds of all road racing. Most of the races are international. It's tough to find fans in the states, as it's more popular abroad than in the US.

The Chinese Grand Prix is on Speed channel right now, if you want to check it out. The Bahrain Grand Prix airs this weekend on Speed channel.

There's even an Obama equivalent in F1 - Lewis Hamilton - who sort of burst on the scene and has been a super driver, especially in the wet, slippery conditions sometimes found in this high speed sport.

Yes, Hamilton's rise has been great to watch, especially after losing Schumacher. And he's got a great attitude...humble and appreciative, which is nice to see in any sport!
