Could you be more specific about Mozy? Which version were you using and what were the problems you were having? I have been using it for a couple of years now with no issues.

Have you had to restore anything yet? I find that is the biggest selling point. I used someone else years ago and they were backing up everything on my computer, except for that silly little folder called "My Documents". Needless to say I was unimpressed. I'm tempted to switch from my current company, but I've actually needed them in a lost data situation, and I don't know anything about Mozy other than the commercials.

I can't remember the version of Mozy I used. But, on retrieving docs, they came in.....EMPTY! No text, no data! No help from cust. svc.

Tried BeInSync, which works great and I use an external HD as well.

I do that same sort of stuff using Microsoft Live Sync, Mesh, and Skydrive with Gladinet. All of those are free and I can use the MS synctoy to sync to an external drive for free. So there are a lot of good very low cost, or no cost options. But from a business side I have been using Mozy because it notifies me daily the status of my backups. This feature lets me monitor backups of clients that for some reason can not grasp that a backup is not any good if it never happens.

I miss Shelly and his acerbic humor. Hope he gets back soon.

I miss them both posting, I learned a lot.
