The casts came off today and everything seams to be Ok. The Orthopedic doctors will see her for the next year to monitor her growth and development. Nevaeh has not walked yet but she can stand and has shuffled a little. It will take time and she will have to build up her strength and courage but within a few days she should be off and running!
Thank you all for thoughts and prayers and those well needed hugs.
Once upon a time I thought I knew what fear was, then one of my grand children was on life support. Prayer is a good thing.

Wow! Seems like it was just yesterday! So glad she's healing and making such amazing progress! Continued prayers for her and your family!

It was a month yesterday but it seams like just a few days.
Nevaeh just left here and she is in pretty good spirits. She is not strong enough to walk yet but she can kick her legs and when you carry her she can hold on like she used to.
She is a lot skinnier but she has yet to loose that tan! Papa is planning on getting her in a pool to get some exercise and build her strength. I think Papa just wants to go swimming with his little buddy again.
I said Nevaeh was stunning when she was born and she is still amazing to me.

Bless her heart. I just realized that "Nevaeh" is "Heaven" spelled backwords. I am slow. What a beautiful name for a beautiful child. I hope she continues to heal and soon this will a be a faded memory for her.
