This was a most perfect day. It started with a 2 hour motorcycle ride east on 20, south on 79 and west on front beach. The ride was fantastic. The weather was perfect and I loved the perspective of the surroundings. You can enjoy the scenery so much from a bike! Riding through the woodsy areas I could feel at least a 5 degree temprature drop. I could smell the magnolias.
I got home to a text from BB that FFF wanted to fly to Applachacola for the afternoon! FFF an I flew to Applachacola (15 minute flight) had a late lunch at Boss Oyster Bar (I had steamed oysters and fried shrimp...YUM!) Did a little poking around some of the open stores then headed up the coast to Sandestin and headed back to Panama airport by way of the bay. I flew over Point Washington and saw my neighborhood.
The flight along the coast was breathtaking! Suce a wonderous sight. I love to fly and FFF's plane is very comfortable! I will post pics soon! (Hopefully tomorrow) There is nothing like seeing the coast from a plane! I felt decadent flying somewhere just for the afternoon....I could surely get used to that!:D
I drove home and decided to go on the beach (it was about 6:30) As I walked onto the beach Redd, Paul, SWGB, Destin Scuba and Scooterbug were all there too! Kurt & Toots drove up and I got to see them as well.

The sunset was beautiful and the moonrise was even better!

SIGH...all in all it was the most perfect day I could ever imagine!.

OMG! That is just awesome. I have a fear of flying, but I could deal with that with enough scotch and the beauty of Mother Nature.

If BB, FFF, and you need a sous chef, I would be happy to accommodate.
Too much scotch, and you would not be able to enjoy the scenery ;-)
BB does not fly much, but I am not afraid at all. It was just Peter and myself. The true beauty of flying 300 feet above the coast is indescribable! Some of the beaches around Appalachacola are amazing, but getting into the panhandle and the change in the water color is breathtaking.
FFF enjoys flying and was a most gracious and knowledgeable pilot!

It all fell into place beautifully, one of those unplanned things. I knew I was going flying with FFF, but had no idea we would go to Appalachacola
biking, flying in a small aircraft AND going to Appalachacola were all new experiences for me!

Wow!
Love how you described your day!

Makes me think of "bucket lists". I need to take lessons to learn to ride a motorcycle. (Properly that is - because the only time I was on one, I drove it into a tree!

You make it sound so funn!
