"Who does Obama think he is?"
He thinks he's POTUS, the leader of the free world.

Thanks, analogman...that is exactly what came to my mind, as well. ;-)

wow! there are people on here that are completely drunk on obama koolaid. but when daytime tv, nighttime comedians. liberal blogs and politically driven news outlets are your only source of real information, its so wonder. some of us look at the facts and make a decision from it. but there are some that love to hear the one liners and than look the other way. im so glad im a recovering liberal now. i no longer think in simple terms.

Thanks for your insight. Speaking of keyboards...we have been members of this web site for the same amount of time and you have 4 times the post I do. HUMM.

That's mainly because when I see a "Doom and Gloom" post, I attempt to change the poster's attitude to be a more positive one. If we all thought more positively, things would be more positive. I honestly believe that no matter what political idiom you subscribe to, a positive attitude can and will improve anything.

If you want to exchange and compare the positive things that I volunteer for in this and other comminities, let's do it on another thread. I'll stick to the intent of this thread for now.

About your "keyboard" comment, I mostly work at home and have access to my computer quite often. Each of my posts only takes 1-2 minutes, so I don't actually spend much time on SoWal, I just have a lot to say and try to influence people with my words. Isn't that why we all come to post on SoWal?

And I'm not "drunk on President Obama coolaid" (an overused, tired, old statement at this point), I'm just extremely glad that when the POTUS is anounced in a news story it's not George Bush any longer. You can't honestly tell me you think his administration didn't make a mess of things.

I actually think that government should stay out of it's citizen's lives as much as possible and that there should be term limits on all political offices, but we have to work with what we have, don't we? President Obama is just attempting to straiten out a huge mess that he inherited. I wouldn't want to be him, but I support him for now. That may change by the time the next election comes.

And "this town" is a tiny enclave in the middle of a huge red (Republican) county. We, just as you do, have the right to voice our opinions any way we choose. I choose to voice mine without personal insults to anyone. I have never thought in simple terms and consider issues from all sides by watching and reading many news sources.

I do not believe that the power of perception has anything to do with the intrusive nature of our current government. Also, I agree that Bush and Co royally screwed things up but how long and how many programs will it take until there is a little normalcy (sp). Bush inherited Clinton's stuff and things got worse. I appears that Obama has inherited Bush's stuff and it is getting much worse. Tell me what the answer is. You do not know me but I am a very positive person but I am real too.

I don't believe positivity is"perception". I believe it has the actual power to make change happen...a universal force, if you will. We obviously have different opinions of what makes things happen in this world. To quote a great man "you must be the change you want to see in the world". I think if we both keep thinking and especially "being" positive, much can happen that will change the world...including the way our government behaves. I apologize if I misinterpreted your original thread starting post, but it sounded a bit negative to me. Keep the positive thoughts going out and may God bless you richly for them.

Just one more little thing. Never underestimate the power of perception. That power is what the last administration used to manipulate us for so long. They weren't the first, and they won't be the last.

The wisest man I know of said, "treat others like you want to be treated". I think you did that in this posted. Much appreciated.

Please don't think that Obama is not thinking that perception is everything. That is one major reason everyone dribbles down their leg over him, perception.
