I've seen a whole lot funnier anti-Obama cartoons. This one is just kinda dumb.

This stuff is really reinforcing my opinion that Reps really don't have much of a sense of humor... too much time watching the stock market and reading illegal wiretap transcripts...

Great place to find political cartoons - this one is not that entertaining IMO.

I think the two of you may be missing the point. A political cartoon is not the Sunday funnies. It may be funny, it may be entertaining, but that's really beside the point.

A political cartoon is about sending a message, making an observation, pressing a point of view, broadcasting an opinion, provoking a response, and so much more, the least of which might be entertaining to the reader.

"In jest" doesn't necessarily mean joking either. It can be meant as a jibe.

...FTLOC...where is your sense of humor? In my experience, I have found many Republicans with a great sense of humor. BTW...I am a moderate, middle of the roader with no party and a huge sense of humor.

I think political cartoons serve a great purpose in our society and I am glad to see that fun can be poked at Obama. I was worried for awhile that the press would be hands off.

Great post, Mermy!

I love good political cartoons too. I was just commenting that these didn't seem all that funny. Compared to Doonesbury or Non-Sequiter, these seem fairly limp, toadly.
