Got the message, got out of bed, read it, realized it was July so no frozen Kitty, went back to bed. I also thought she meant the room so I figured she could sleep on a couch in the lobby if all else failed.

Lunch at the place that apparently got one boot up followed by a protest of some sort.

This was a protest for health care now down the streets of Old Port. I was in a cute shop buying stuff, Mr. K was outside watching. The salesgirl and I jumped outside to see if the voices were friendly or scary. Here is the transcript:

Head Bullhorn Protestor: What do we want?
Minions: HEALTH CARE!
HBP: When do want it?
Minions: NOW!
Mr. Kitty: Who's going to pay for it? :shock:
Miss Kitty: (grabbing Mr. K by the arm) Get inside, NOW!

MK, I just read this thread...so glad you made it to Maine, even with your boot! Just a good thing you flew into Portland and not Bangor, the security at Bangor would never have been the same after you and "da boot" -- they are "bears" at making one take everything off--and I mean everything!

Glad you guys are having funn -- enjoy for me too! And keep the stories and photos coming...I want to be there so badly--good news though, it's only 75 degrees here this morning.

Whew! I am breathing a huge sigh of relief, too. Bangor is where my sister lives. Had she and the Kitty had met up, it would have been me who was never the same! The two of them would have spilled all my deepest darkest secrets...I'd have been busted big time. I caught a lucky break!

So Kitty. It makes me happy that you have partaken of Maine's finest seafood, the kind that's served in a paper basket with the slice of lemon. Now that's gastronomy!

Have you and da boot dipped your toesies into the Atlantic yet? I am guessing not. You don't know cold til you know Maine cold. ;-)
