I do not understand how someone can be against war, but support driving a metal head through the skull of a partially born child.

i guess for the same reason grown men, men who do not know each other and have no grievance with each other, men who would rather be home with their families/friends, can meet on the field of battle to kill each other because some idiot in charge says sick 'em. that's why we need parades, speeches, flags, and good ole fashioned patriotism to get worked up enough to set our common sense aside.

I have read words like yours before, in the history of russia and germany. The liberals in those countries blindly followed their leaders also. They also berated those who opposed them. Called them names and besmirched them. Then they awoke to find that they could no longer voice their opinions with fear of reprisal. My bet is that you have never read the constitution, the bill of rights, or the federalist papers. You were to busy saving the spotted owl. You will let others give their lives, so that you can freely spout your drivel and say, see how open minded i am, i support an avowed socialist in his efforts to destroy the USA. Because in your mind, elitist, you think that you should be able to tell everyone else, what their opinion is and how they should live and think. Our fore fathers came to this country to escape people like you. Now we have them again. America is waking up, enjoy your short run. In 2010 you and your kind will be voted out of congress.

you and you ilk are the reason we fight war after war. most folks in the military are there for economic reasons, not patriotism. it's a draft on the poor. before the volunteer services, we had the draft. why do you suppose that happened? could it be that not everyone is willing to travel to the other side of the world to pick fights as our angry southerners[serbs]? people want into america to make money. the could give a crap about your 1950s, post ww2 version of america being the world bully. see you at the townhall meeting, be sure to wear all your ribbons on your old uniform, puff out your chest, and give em the best jack nicholson imitation you've got. if i was ever your co, i'd put you in the brig for being a pompous blowhard. you are not a patriot, you're a wannabe.

Well, hello again Bob. We who do fight the wars for our freedoms will continue to protect the freedoms of all Americans, even the cowards, like you. You could never be anyones CO, you have not the courage to defend your country, much less yourself.

This great country will not return to the land of slaves owners, women not being allowed to vote, etc. Politically, as a country, we ying and yang , go back and forth--go forward progressively or backwards or just stay the same (as in 2001 to 2008).

Why do liberals always bring up black slavery when they are put on the spot? You are right, we will not return to the days of the past - hopefully we have learned something from the mistakes made by previous administrations. But, if conservatives do not fight for all of us, we may very well end up being slaves to our government. Our federal government needs to be reduced in size and power before we are turned into the Russia of old with czars and peasants. Our current administration does not want to improve the lot of everyone. They want to bring the masses down to a common way of life while the leaders are elevated to a higher position with all the wealth and privilege that accompanies the aristocrasy.
