I said nothing personal, merely made a statement of fact. If it hit a little to close to home. The problem lies within you, not me.

Frankly scarlet I don't give a phlying phuck. You're just a douche. Nothing personal, merely made a statement of fact. If it hit a little to close to home. The problem lies within you, not me.

I can tell you're angry that the country is finally shedding itself of all the misguided values you espouse. It's all over. You lost.

You are glad that the country is shedding the values espoused in the Constitution?? If so, what values should we be holding to in this country? Please elaborate on what our system of government should be based on. Should we just flap in the breeze and head whatever way the wind blows or should we have some moral and spiritual basis or the way we are governed?

Are you saying that the founders of our country had it wrong??:dunno:

The undesirables in the Republican party today are a by product of the Reagan revolution. It started under Reagan/Bush, then it became a festering sore while Clinton was in office. With Dubya, it was payback time. Now they are panicking because their vision of America has been categorically rejected and will never thrive. I could conceivably vote Republican if it weren't for the fact that the party comes across as an insane asylum run by the inmates.

Oh, and there are no undesirables in the Democratic Party?? :lolabove::rotfl::lol::rotfl: Can you say Cynthia McKinney, Al Gore, Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy, etc, etc.?

You've got to be kidding me. There are nut jobs galore in both parties. I say get rid of all of them and start with a whole bunch of newbies and allow them only 6 years in office apiece. That would get everyone moving in the right direction, eliminate most of the lobbying, and get rid of all politicians constant worries about the next election.

Obama (just like every first term president before him) will be more worried about reelection in late 2010 and beyond than he will be in running the country.

And the life of the mother? There is no black or white. That is why government should stay out of this. I am glad you are against a constitutional amendment though.

G

When it is a choice between the life of the mother or the baby, then it should be left up to the mother.

HOWEVER, cases where the mothers life is in danger represent a TINY fraction of all the abortions performed in this country. This is a very, very weak argument for keeping abortion legal.

The founders were wrong about many things and our Constitution has been amended appropriately, however that's a separate issue from my objections to the vile crap spewed out by the original poster. :dunno:

i guess for the same reason grown men, men who do not know each other and have no grievance with each other, men who would rather be home with their families/friends, can meet on the field of battle to kill each other because some idiot in charge says sick 'em. that's why we need parades, speeches, flags, and good ole fashioned patriotism to get worked up enough to set our common sense aside.

It's a good thing only a very small fraction of the populace thinks like you. Imagine where we would be today if most American and European men walked your walk in 1915-1918 or 1939-1945 or 2001-today. Pacifism doesn't work unless you want to be overrun by dictators and thugs.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of evil in the world (both in our own neighborhoods--thats why we have the police--and in other countries--thats why we have a military). God bless the men and women and uniform (both locally and nationally).

:roll:My post was in response to somebody who asked in essence, "why has the Republican party changed so much?" I really don't see any possible way I could have worked the democratic party into the discussion, unless I brought up the fact that many southern democrats abandoned the democratic party and joined the Republican party as a result of Johnson's initiation of the civil rights movement. So really if you want to blame somebody for the present day Republican sad state of affairs, you could blame the democrats.
