I think we need more info on the BF before we can give you any good ideas. :D

Exactly...

What is he into? Sowallers can help you nail it if we know more. Until then, some thoughts-

Sports:
Does he have a fav team? Get him tickets to a game or a jersey (real one- not the cheap replica) with his name on the back.

Hobbies:
Does he grill? Get him a high end grill tool set or a branding iron with his initials. Does he cook? Take him to a cooking demo at Culinary Gallery or Kitchenique. Does he fish? Send him on a charter.

Music:
Does he have a fav band? Get him their box set or take him to a concert. Does he own an IPod? If not, get him one and make him a playlist.

Friends:
Does he have close friends who live far away. Buy them a ticket and fly them in as a surprise for him.

Dinner:
Take him to someplace intimate like Cafe Tango.

No matter what you decide- also get him some of his favorite beer...

Great ideas!!! ipod may be the ticket, he loves music and I don't think he has one. Still like Bob's idea as well of the photo album. We have been together 2 months, but spent almost a month apart when he went out of state after a death in the family and then I had the flu and wouldn't let him near me. I know of no other hobbies than music. All the man does is work, take care of his family and play with me.

He's a Marine. I have known him since high school, he played football and did it well. He has 3 boys that he raised with his mother. He is a grandfather and is devoted to his family. He has his own business and he works, works, works. He is a giver, not a taker and I don't want to overwhelm him with an expensive gift. We are still learning about each other. That's it, that is all I know.

Shallowsnole may know more about him than I do, maybe she will speak up.

Even if he doesn't fish being out on the boat is relaxing...he can't work while on the boat..;-) But you can never go wrong with a massage, especially for someone that works all the time. Canuck also love hand massages. The photo idea is good but maybe give it a little more time, maybe Christmas???Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Kitchenique is having Chef McAdoo from Seagar's preparing a meal of filet, strip and bone-in ribeye tomorrow night for about $50/person. Best steaks around and he might learn some new steak-cooking tips. http://www.kitchenique.com/shop/?ca..._criteria=&rec=10&searchCat=&gonext=Next+Page

Since his birthday is on the 29th, they have a sushi class on the 28th. Teach and show you how to prepare sushi and is hands-on.

I have taken a couple of dates to cooking demos/classes. They are very fun, especially the participatory ones.

Top that off with a top-shelf bottle of Maker's Mark gift set if he is a whiskey drinker.

(If he's not a whiskey drinker, you might like a slug of it if you take SWGB's last suggestion.)

Hmmmm.... two months is a nice stretch of time and you two should know each other fairly well by now. Massages are amazing, but I would assume they have already been going on? (I know that I love to give them and it would already be a weekly staple for me) Perhaps you could find out one of his unfulfilled fantasies and make it a reality for him? Give him a memory that will always be fondly remembered and associated with you! :D

Powertools, especially if your unfamiliar with what he has and likes to do, is a poor idea in my opinion...and kinda unpersonal.

Professional Massage :D
