Alaqua Animal Refuge Special request of the day... from Jacksonville
A young woman came home yesterday afternoon in the Northside of Jacksonville, she reached down and petted her two year old 45 pound male dog, not realizing the ordeal her dog had been through that day. Later yesterday evening her father came out and saw her dog he was stunned as well as angry. He had dumped this poor boy almost 10 miles away. The dog had made it back home all on his own. Crossing Dunn Ave, which is extremely busy.He told his daughter that if she didn't find a home for him in the next few days that he was going to take him to Animal Control. I am sure after dumping him he will do just that or just dump him further away.
So here we are trying to find a place for this loyal animal.
