Mr. Obama needs to step up and be the President and the Commander in Chief that this country elected him to be...he needs to make a decision about sending more troops....and he needs to do it NOW! As our President, he can't hide behind a vote of "Present" as he did in his previous political life...he has to accept the responsibilty of the office he was elected too. He needs to step up, and be the man, he needs to make a firm decision and accept the responsibility that goes with it. He can't stradle the issue...he can't hem and haw...this issue is one of the most important decisions before him. I know he is capable of making decisions..He had no problem flying over to plead for the Olympics, he had no problem asking Congress to vote for a stimulus plan that they didn't read, he has no problem pushing a Health Plan that a majority of Americans have problems with, he had no problem acquiring questionable czars to help him make important decisions, he had no problem giving a 25 minute interview to his General in charge, he had no problem setting our country on a path of extreme debt that our great-great grandchildren will still be paying for, so he can make speedy decisions. Mr. President, this isn't a future pet choice, (remember this decision took many months) this is a decision that is dealing with out young soldiers lives. It is time for you to step up as our President and say Yea or Nay, :scratch:and not worry about the Left, or the Right, or the Middle...this is your job....accept it and DO IT!!!!

Obama turning to Hollywood for health reform help

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is enlisting Hollywood celebrities including actress Rosario Dawson and musician Will.I.Am to draw attention to his health care overhaul agenda.

The performers will act as celebrity judges for a TV commercial contest set up by Organizing for America, the Obama political organization that's part of the Democratic National Committee.
Organizing for America last month invited supporters to create and submit 30-second ads in support of remaking health care. The winning one will be aired nationally.
In addition to Dawson and Will.I.Am, the panel of judges being announced by Organizing for America Wednesday consists of actors John Cho, Dule Hill, Brandon Routh, Kate Walsh and Olivia Wilde, and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane.
Also acting as judges will be Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine, DNC Executive Director Jen O'Malley Dillon, Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Pa., Obama campaign manager David Plouffe and some volunteers. The video submissions are due Oct. 18 and they will be judged and the winner announced after that.

I wonder. Are we bombing Iran? And, on CNN right now (about 5 min. ago) was about increasing troops to Afghanistan and the President acting more Presidential......

But, last week I caught the news on CNN in the middle of the day and it was about how horrible Detroit is right now showing the number of bodies in bags in the freezer. I couldn't take it and switched to FOX, which was showing the 'Monumental Flight' of Cpt. Sully.
