I'm not racist, I'm thinking of the kids

Why do you say this? The Government does this everyday. Plus I see post on this blog everyday where people are telling others how to run their lives.

As a person of color I will say I understand the concerns of this justice. The children are treated poorly by those other children as they grow up ....why? In my opinion because they were brought up to know no better by their parents. Most interracial children grow up with strong educations and good morals. Heck one has already become President of the United States. This shares with the world that as Americans we accept the Inter racial life styles. The majority has spoken by electing a fine young man from a inter racial marriage to our highest office in this country.
However children are mean at times with children of inter racial marriages, I have seen it all of my life. Maybe just maybe this judge had the "TRUTH" in his heart. But that is not always the BEST for those concerned.
With that being said, I am proud of being an American and knowing we have the ability to move forward and still hold to good moral values. God Bless America and its Inter Racial President!

why do i say this? its obvious isnt it? i wouldnt want the justice to tell me and me wife whats best for my children-period. his job is to marry me, thats all. what the heck does color have to do with anything, i mean really

My friend, I have no idea where you have been, But for the last 250 years Color has had everything to do with ANYTHING. You have posted an OXYMORON between your two posts. The fact is if COLOR did not have anything to do with this then why are you upset? Just curious.

Exactly what "experience" is the judge basing this on? Has he been in multiple short-lived interracial marriages? Or is this just what he has witnessed while wearing his white hat?

Kids are mean to other kids for a variety of reasons. Their race is actually pretty low on the list.

If concern for children is the basis, the judge should be denying marriage to people who smoke or are overweight - far greater health or teasing risk than having parents of <gasp> different races.

Yes, there are definitely racist morons everywhere, but a judge blatantly and repeatedly violating the specific law that has been in effect for 35+ years is another kettle of fish!

This isn't a matter of perception or a misleading headline to get people fired up, the judge, his wife, and the couple all agree on the details and he admits this is what happened.

IT'S COMPLETELY WRONG AND ILLEGAL!!!!
