If anyone from outside of SoWal sees Precious, could you please give us a review? It looks like the closest theater that is showing it here is in Pensacola. I'm hoping it shows up closer to home soon.

If you'd really like to see it, why not take a day trip to Pensacola and include the movie as part of the day? Take the beach road drive down Navarre Beach to Pensacola; stop for lunch in Penscola Beach or walk on the pier; maybe do some shopping or visit the Navy Maritime museum & lighthouse and then take in the movie. It's a long drive, but what the heck.
Precious is a beautiful movie and I recommend it highly. Don't
be deterred by the idea that it may be depressing. Most of the
difficult scenes are obscured by blurred camera and other shooting techniques so they are not graphic. It has a powerful
and uplifting ending. Go see it!

Thanks, but no thanks. Already got threatened by Mediacom about illegal downloading by our guests at our rental house. If you don't think you should be able to get that movie or song for free, then it's probably illegal.

Saw Precious last night with a couple of friends. It was rough to watch. Made me appreciate where and how I was raised. Should make my kids watch it to make them appreciate me! Too much for kids though. Well done movie. Acting was very good. Sad to be reminded how many people in the world are living their lives.
