Registered independent here. It sucks that I can't vote in primaries but I just can't manage an official embrace of either of the two primary parties today.

I have always been registered as ZERO party affiliate - until I moved here. ONLY because I want to vote in primaries. But it IRKS me that I am a party to any party. I certainly lean more toward one side, but I feel boxed in and I don't like labels. I feel like if I say that I am a ______ then people assume things about me that are not necessarily so.

Does that make sense?
