OK well, hmmmm SWGB - I just went and took ANOTHER look in different lighting and WOW - it is pretty AQUA !!!!

I am HOPING when I get my cabinets, couch, pictures, rug, etc.... it will act as an accent and not seem overwhelmingly aqua. I still love the idea of bringing the gulf into the art of the house. Kinda think "Smilin Fish". Only ours is more squiggly like a galaxy of sorts. Strange patterns......

Hurray!!! I finished the fish for my stair risers. Now I am working on just the waves that go between each fish.

Anxious to see how they look on the stairway. This is SUCH an adventure = daily! Some look crooked in pics but that is just photography ;-)

Don't worry, colors always look bolder in empty rooms w/ white walls. Once you start adding furniture, rugs, art, to distract the eye and break up the expanses it will be a more muted effect.

Thanks - I am beginning to calm down about it - I do love the aqua gulf color and the walls have just a HINT of coral in the tan to remind me of the sunsets at BMB! Really trying to make this our vision of the area.

The floors are great. You did a great job. DIY always seems so doable when you are standing in the store and then it gets so much harder when you get it home. It looks wonderful. I also love the fish.

Ok, so the solar panels are now tied in with Chelco. We are the 10th Chelco customer to have solar panels and the FIRST new construction to have them

Well, only when sun is shining, but hey, I'll take it!! It sends electricity back to Chelco when we over produce like that.

One of our North TX service providers is offering a SOLAR PANEL LEASING program with federal tax credits and provider rebates. They make it sound like folks who get in on it this year will not have up front costs. We have too many trees to bother looking into it much though.
