One of our North TX service providers is offering a SOLAR PANEL LEASING program with federal tax credits and provider rebates. They make it sound like folks who get in on it this year will not have up front costs. We have too many trees to bother looking into it much though.

.

IF the final rebate from the state of FL comes in then we will be able to have this entire system for under $1000! If not, still a great investment.

IMO it's a deal at 10x that price considering the heating and cooling bills people are paying. Between your insulation and solar panels you'll make it back in less than 2 years!

Hi Gidget! I'm just reading the posts on your new house. I don't know how I missed them before. I know we have written a couple of times. I love your home and the fish. I think the concrete floors came out great. You are very creative. I am moving into a small rental in Blue Mountain Beach. I'll have to ride around and find your house when I get there. What street are you on if you don't mind my asking. I could probably fit my little cottage in your whole house!!!! LOL I hope I get invited to the housewarming since I really need to make some friends when I move there. I don't know anyone, I just decided I loved it there and want to relocate since I am not happy in New Orleans anymore. Good luck with the rest of the house and keep up the good work. It is fun isn't it and exciting!!! Take care, Brenda

Hi Brenda

Thanks for stopping by. The house truly isn't very large - under 1400 sq ft - 2 bedrooms (one as an office with bunk beds)

"Housewarming" won't be for months - we are moving in next week but goodness there's still SO MUCH to do.

I don't think you can miss my house if in Blue Mtn area - it is poking out of the brickyard :D

Here's a new pic:

Fish are in place, treads go on top today. That will really make the staircase look complete to get rid of plywood and have stained treads.

See you around :D
